Rob Williams

Rob Williams is the Founder and Chairperson of the Motherlode Bicycle Coalition. Rob attended public schools in the East Bay Area in California and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. He obtained a teaching certificate from Cal State Hayward and a Masters in Education from University of Nevada, Reno. He served as an elementary school principal for 30 years before retiring in 2014.

Rob rides his bike weekly with local cycling clubs and friends, and he shares his love of cycling with his wife, Cynthia, two kids and four grandchildren who live in Sonora, and Murphy’s California.

Jack Becker

Jack Becker, Executive Director formerly served as the Executive Director of Bike Bakersfield until moving to Sonora with his fiancé, Sarah in 2018. Jack is a League of American Bicyclist Cycling Instructor and enjoys leading bike safety education for children and adults. He is a coach of the local high school composite mountain bike team and regularly commutes by bike around Sonora.

Dwight Folien

Dwight Follien is the Board Chair for the Groveland Trail Heads and advocates for active youth activity in Groveland. He has worked with the Groveland Ranger District of the Stanislaus National Forest to gain approval of a 13-mile destination mountain bike trail system in the Stanislaus east of Groveland. Prior to moving to Groveland, Dwight learned about trail building and contributed to trail work with Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz. Dwight has a background in sales, and he has plugged in a load of his energy to our board. Dwight is an avid mountain biker and enjoys riding in the Stanislaus.

Carl Baker

Carl Baker is retired from a career in land use, environmental, and transportation planning including work at Caltrans District 10 as the Regional Planning Liaison to Mariposa, Tuolumne, Calaveras, Amador, and Alpine Counties. He also authors Tuolumne Bikes, a blog about cycling in the Central Sierra. He lives in Columbia in Tuolumne County and enjoys bike touring with his wife Kimberly. He likes steep hills, old mountain bikes and exploring in the forest. Carl is also on the Board of the Tuolumne County Land Trust and volunteers on the Citizens Advisory Committee of the Tuolumne County Transportation Council.
